Albert Edward Bold was born in Birmingham on 13 March 1896. He attested for service in WWI with the Royal Engineers and was posted to France as a Gunner with them on 15 August 1915.

According to the 1939 Register he was a Brass Foundry Warehouseman living at 79 Brent Road, Birmingham.

He went on to earn the Defence Medal in WWII, having joined RAF at Padgate with no. 1148624.

He died in Birmingham in September 1974.

Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with some research.
