Horace Lloyd Jones was born in Bagilt, Flint, Flintshire, Wales on 25 March 1910. According to the 1939 Register he was a General Labourer living at 2 Smith's Cottages, Flint.
He attested for service with the 37th S/L Regiment of the Royal Artillery on 16 September 1940 and was at home until being posted to North West Europe on 8 June 1944. Having been transferred to to Pioneer Corps on 10 July 1943 it was with them he saw action in France & Germany until 5 March 1946 when he was placed on the Z Reserve. His time in Europe was with both the 194 & 299 Coy's of the Pioneer Corps.
Jones passed away in Delyn, Clwyd, Wales on 4 December 1979.
Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with research including service papers.
