Chitrabahadur Gurung was born in 1935. He enlisted with the Gurkha Rifles on 5 October 1952 at the age of 17 and served in Malaya, Hong Kong and Borneo largely as the Regimental Signaler. He was discharged at Singapore on 5 September 1967 after 15 years service.
His service papers (copy included) state that he was "rated for his drive and enthusiasm" and that he was "responsible, intelligent and hard working, a junior Commander that leads. The majority of his service has been spent in the Signal Platoon and with the battalion pay team." His military conduct was Exemplary.
Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with research.
