John Samuel Hughes Served King's Liverpool Regiment WWI
The 2/9th Battalion of the King's (Liverpool Regiment) was a Territorial Force unit formed during World War I. It was the second-line battalion of the 1/9th, initially formed in September 1914. The battalion served in France, arriving in February 1917, and participated in various battles on the Western Front.
