Harry Samuel Harrison was born in Pondlesbury, Shropshire in 1895. He enlisted with the Royal Garrison Artillery on 10 November 1914 and was posted to Egypt with 25 Heavy Battery, RGA on 10 January 1916. He suffered a Shrapnel Wound to his Left Thigh and was discharged on 9 May 1919 after being awarded a Silver War Badge no. B199744.

At some point he became a Policeman and was awarded the Police Long Service Medal

According to the 1939 Register he was living at 5 Sandhole Road in Salop and was a Police Sergeant by occupation. He died in Shrewsbury in 1959.
