China Medal clasps Taku Forts 1860, Pekin 1860 (GUNNER JOHN BALDOCK. 8TH BATT. 14TH BDE. R.A.)
John Baldock served with the 8th Bty (Shanghai Battery) of 14th Brigade, Royal Artillery in China in 1860 - both at Taku Forts and Pekin. He went on to serve in Abyssinia in 1868, a rescue mission and punitive expedition carried out by the armed forces of the British Empire against the Ethiopian Empire.
By 1871 he was back on home soil and based at Woolwich.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research. His medal for Abyssinia is not included.
