Queens South Africa Medal (T. READING. ORD. H.M.S. MONARCH)
Thomas Reading was born in Stepney, London on 16 September 1879. Employed as a Porter, he joined the Royal Navy as a Boy in 1895 and served aboard HMS Monarch during the Anglo Boer War. He was posted to the Royal Fleet Reserve in 1909 and was recalled to service in WWI, being Invalided in 1919.
He was entitled to a 1914-15 Star trio which is not with the medal. His address just after WWI was 92 Salop Road, Walthamstow.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold together with copied research.
