Insituted as part of the range of Albert Medals in 1877.
Named after the late Prince Albert who had died in 1861 the Albert medals had originally been instituted for saving life at sea in 1866.
This hand made replica is manufactured to the highest standards by our own skilled craftsmen and finished in bronze with vitreous enamels. The reverse has the inscription "Manufactured for display purposes" and the year of manufacture.
