Ribbon bar on a metal carriage to allow it to slide onto stacking ribbon bars. A central slot allows the addition of emblems without having the need to purchase a new ribbon.
Used for Royal Victorian Order (LVO/MVO) when ribbons are worn alone. Awarded for extraordinary or personal services to the Sovereign, or the Royal Family.
Also used for the Royal Victorian Medal when ribbons are worn alone. Awarded to those below the rank of officers who perform personal services to the Sovereign or Royal Family.
