Charles Adam Willott was born in Belper, Derbyshire on 14 February 1876. He served with the 11th Notts & Derby Regiment in WWI and was posted to France on 16.12.1915. Transferring to the Labour Corps with no. 400527, he saw out the war until being discharged to the Reserve on 9.2.1919.
According to the 1939 Register he was a Road Sweeper with the Nottingham Corporation and was living at 7 Eugene Street, Nottingham.
He passed away on 18 June 1949 at Nottingham.
