Father: Frederick White was born in Islington, London in 1882. He enlisted for service with the RAMC on 7 August 1914 with number 27762, seeing service in France with 47 General Hospital. His address at this time was 37 Lennox Road, Finsbury Park, London. The majority of his service was in England - from August 1914 until June 1918 - whereafter he was posted to France until February 1919.
He claimed to suffer pain in both thighs and shoulders which began in June 1917 - which was attributed to damp. In civilian life he was a Telegraph Linesman with the Great Northern Railways based at Kings Cross.
Son: Frederick Charles White was born in Islington in 1907. He was, according to the 1939 Register, a Shunter with the London and North East Railways (L.N.E.R.) living at 20 Woodville Road, East Barnet. He died in Colchester, Essex in 1995.
Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with some research. The lot is accompanied by two strings of annual award medal clasps, two cloth SAB badges and a SJAB badge.
