British War Medal (ALBERTO KEENS); Mercantile Marine Medal (ALBERTO KEENS)
Alberto Keens was a Chief Engineer with the Merchant Navy. Born in Bradford in 1884 he was awarded the British War Medal and Mercantile Marine Medal for his service.
Recalled in WWII for special service from 16.5.1943 until 25.5.1944 when he was made redundant after serving aboard S.S. Asteria - there is no indication of him being awarded any medals for WWII.
He died on 21 January 1946 at the age of 61.
