British War Medal (137138 PTE. A. MAYNARD. K.R.R.C.); Victory Medal (137138 PTE. A. MAYNARD. K.R.R.C.) - with original cardboard box of issue (flattened)

Alfred Maynard was born in London in either 1881 or 1889 - depending on which census you believe. He served in WWI with the 18th (Service) Bn, Kings Royal Rifle Corps KRRC and later transferred to the Royal Army Service Corps with no. 397665.

He was treated for a sprained ankle in the 139th Field Hospital on 27 July 1917 after being in the field for 5 months, of which was 1 months was operational. From this can be deduced that he enlisted in February 1917.

The address on his Pension Card was 58 Howbury Road, Nunhead, S.E.15. He was still at this address in 1921 where he was a Builder/Merchant/Storekeeper and was still there at the time of the 1939 Register where he was described as a Storekeeper (Builder's Merchant)

Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research.
