Horace Martin Victor Widdison was born in Kensington, London in 1897. He served with the 15th Bn Durham Light Infantry in WWI and enlisted for WWII with number 169338 before being commissioned a Lieutenant with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps on the 20 January 1941.

According to the 1939 Register Widdison was living at 24 Coval Gardens in Barnes. He was a Stock Jobber and a member of the London Stock Exchange. He was also a volunteers AR Warden for the Borough of Barnes 

He died on 20 Jan 1991 in Claverdon, Warwickshire.

Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research as well as the original box of award for the WWI medals, the envelope they came in, addressed to Mr H.M.V. Widdison 58 Winchester Rd. London and the covering envelope for the WWII medals addressed to Capt. H.M.V. Widdison, 24 Coval Gardens, East Sheen, London, S.W.14. Included are also a dog tag on bracelet inscribed WIDDISON CE 53182 D.L.I.
