1939-45 Star; France & Germany Star; War Medal 1939-45 - unnamed as awarded with award slip iin box of issue addressed to Mr G Drew, 120 Mostyn Avenue, Old Roan. Aintree, Liverpool, Lancs

George Drew was born in Middlesboro, Yorkshire on 30 January 1903. A Spiritualist by way of religious persuasion, he attested for service in WWII with the Royal Pioneer Corps on 14 May 1942 and was posted to 161 Coy, Pioneer Corps. 

He was sent to North West Europe on 14 June 1944 and was posted home on 18 February 1946. From there to the Reserve on 15 April 1946. His medals were posted to him at the same address on his attestation papers - 120 Mostyn Avenue, Old Roan, Aintree, Liverpool on 13 January 1950.

He died in Crosby, Merseyside in January 1985.

Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research.
