Burma Star; War Medal 1939-45 - unnamed as awarded - with award entitlement slip and a 5th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment Medal for the Hissey Cup 1935.

Alec Hugh Jefferson was born on 21 November 1913. He enlisted for service with the 5th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment on 25 October 1929 and won Hissey Cup medal with them in 1935. He took his discharge from them on 24 October 1935.

A Clerk of Works by trade, he enlisted for service in the Far East in WW2 - on 4 May 1944 - and saw service in Burma/Singapore. He was discharged on 2 March 1947 with a Military Conduct rating of Exemplary.

Jefferson's medals were posted to him on 16 January 1953 to 9 Mildenhall Drive, Hollington, St Leonards on Sea. He passed away in Hastings and Rother in April 1996.

Medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with several photographs of Jefferson in Singapore along with his Soldiers Release Book; Release Certificate and Discharge Certificate. See C1002008 for father's medals.
