Ronald Alexander Andrews was born in Fulham Parsons Green in 1914. He enlisted with the RAMC and rose to the rank of WO 1st Class and was RSM of his unit. He was awarded the Efficiency Medal on 30 June 1945. Andrews commenced employment with the Post Office as a Temporary postman messenger on 15 October 1931, becoming a Male sorting clerk in London on 23 May 1938.
He was awarded the Imperial Service Medal per LG 25 November 1974 in his capacity of Assistant Inspector (Post Office) Eastbourne on his retirement. He passed away in 1999 in Uckfield, Sussex.
