Mention in Despatches (MID) Bronze - Ribbon Bar

Worn on the ribbon when ribbons alone are worn to denote a Mention in Despatches, Kings or Queen's commendation for brave conduct or commendation for valuable service in the air.

This emblem was established on 10th August 1920 and was replaced in 1994. 
For awards from 1962 to 1993 up to three emblems may be worn on the ribbon of the appropriate medal, if the number of clasps precludes this then miniature emblems may be worn instead.
