T.Z.2155 J.W.ARMSTRONG. L.S. R.N.V.R. Born in Stanley, Durham on 28 April 1895. Enlisted on 2.12.1914. Served in Gallipoli with Howe Bn. Admitted to hospital with Dysentery and invalided home to England. Demobbed to take up civil employment in Tanfield Lea Colliery in 1916. Demobilised 16.3.1919.
