Thomas Alfred Cowdry was a Butcher's Boy born in Sherbourne/Bromley, Hants. on 1 November 1900. He enlisted with the R.N. on on 14 May 1917. He later transferred to the Short Service as a Stoker and was assigned number SS124605. He was invalided out of the Navy on 18 February 1920 with Myopia in both eyes.
According to the 1939 Register, he was a Stoker at Windsor House (a P.A. Institution) in Aberdare, Glamorganshire which is where he passed away, unmarried in January 1994.
