Leslie Heigh was born in Westmorland in 1908. He served with the Border Regiment in WWII and was taken prisoner of War at Incheville on 14.6.1940 during the Battle of France. This was also the day that the Germans entered Paris.

He was held at Stalag VIIIB in Lamsdorf until being liberated by the advancing Allied forces. Heigh completed Returned POW Questionnaire wherein he confirmed that he had been employed as a Labourer and a Builder and that he was released in January 1945.

He died in Kendal, Westmorland in September 1981.

Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some copied research.
