Father: Archibald John McArthur was born in Leith, Scotland in 1877 - served with "C" Division of the Metropolitan Special Constabulary with Warrant No. 0047788 from 21 May 1931. The 1939 Register has him living in Paddington as a Master Military and Surgical Boot Maker and a former Sergeant. He died in 1959.
Son: WO II Joseph Colin McArthur attested South Africa Air Force on 5 May 1942. Served as Air Mechanic in North Africa/Middle East. Discharged 11 March 1945. Next of kin was mother of 60 Buchanan Street, Coat Bridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
