Father: Special Constabulary Long Service Medal GVIR (Robert W Stone) - in original box of issue marked 4623 Durham.
Son: James Stone was born in 1919 and served as a Navigator with 78 Sqdn. He was KIA on 12.6.1943 when his plane was shot down by a night fighter west of Sambeek.
Father: According to the 1939 Register Robert Weir Stone was living at the same address his sons medals were sent to - 46 Malvern Road, Billingham, Durham. He was a Draughtsman in the Heavy Chemical Industry and a Special Constable. He had previous service with the Royal Naval Division in WWI - these medals are not included. He died in 1963
