Defence Medal; Police Exemplary Service Medal GVIR (CONST. BENJAMIN J. HOWARD) - in original box of issue labelled Nottingham City
Benjamin James Howard was born in Hyson Green, Notts in 1901. He joined the Notts Police in 1926 and served with them, mainly at Basford, for 33 years. He had a keen interest in Boxing and was a member of the Notts Coty Police Athletic Club.
According to the 1939 Register he was living at the Police Station in Nottingham and was a Police Constable by occupation.
He died in Nottingham on 24 March 1969
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research and a Nottingham City Police Athletic Club Card and a Nottingham City Police badge.
