Defence Medal; War Medal 1939-45; Army Emergency Reserve Decoration EIIR reverse dated 1958 - all unnamed as awarded in case/boxes of issue addressed to Capt. W.D. Morris, 21 Anthony Street, Heavitree, Exeter, Devon.
Walter David Morris was born in Cardiff on 25 November 1919. He was commissioned into the Royal Army Pay Corps on 25 August 1942 and promoted to Lieutenant and Paymaster in the LG of 28 January 1944. He continued on post-war and was awarded the Emergency Reserve Decoration in 1958. He resigned his commission in 1961.
According to the 1939 Register he was a Civil Servant with the Ministry of Labour, living at 12 Claude Road, Cardiff.
He moved to Heavitree in Exeter at some point where he passed away in 1993.
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research including Officers' Pay Book and several original documents relating to the award of the ED and his resignation.
