Gilbert Samuel Bradney was born in Dudley in 1921. He served with the Royal Engineers in NW Europe and, post-war with West Midlands/Worcester Fire Brigade where he was stationed at Worcester and Stourbridge. Bradney was the Fire Station Officer at Stourbridge in 1967.
His medals were posted to him on 8 November 1950 to High School House, Priory Road, Dudley, Worc. which is where, according to the 1939 Register, he was living with his parents whilst employed as a Railway Clerk. (His father was the Caretaker and his mother the Cleaner at the Girls High School)
He died in Stourbridge in 2008.
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold together with copied research, a Royal Engineers Cap Badge, a West Midlands Fire Service Badge, a Worcester City and County Fire Brigade Badge and two commemorative Normandy/Operation Juno medals
