Lt Comm/Capt Wilfred Llewelyn Frederick Hughes RN b 1911 Kingston Surrey Served Palestine 1936-9 & Malaya WWII in Mediterranean
Wilfred Hughes was born in Kingston, Surrey on 13 April 1911. He enlisted with the Royal Navy and served in Palestine 1936-1939 and Malaya as a Paymaster Lieutenant. He was promoted to Paymaster Lieutenant Commander on 1 July 1943. By 1960 he was a Captain (Fleet Supply Officer)
He died in Winchester, Hampshire on 18 March 1999
