Lewis Marston was born in Nortley (Bramley), Leeds on 15.1.1913. Starting as a Boy II on 4 October 1928, he enlisted with the Royal Navy on 15.1.1931 and was to see service in a number of vessels and shore establishments over a lengthy career - including Asbury, Rajah and Sussex.

He was awarded the Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 9 April 1954, along with a gratuity of £20.

He passed away in Merioneth North, Merionethshire, Wales in 1972.

This impressive lot comes with original parchment Certificates of Service in the Royal Navy detailing all his postings, along with various Wireless History Sheets and educational certificates.
