Thomas William Bowden was born in West Ham in 1913. He attested for WWII serving with the 133 Field Regiment RA.
133rd Field Regiment were part of 53rd Welsh division for the whole of WW2 - based in UK until late June '44 when they went to Normandy and then took part in the Falaise battle and the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Veritable.
He was awarded the Efficiency Medal in 1946 and was discharged on 11 November 1948. His medals were sent to him at 4 Nelson Street, Faversham on 31 March 1949. At this same address, in the 1939 Register, he wife, child and mother-in-law were living.
He died in Milton Next Sittingbourne, Kent in 1987
