Jones, Sunny Bank, Panymair Hay, Hereford and two award slips - one confirming the award of the Defence Medal and the other confirming the award of the 1939-45 Star; F&G Star and War Medal 1939-45.

David Ivor Charles Jones was born in 1901. A Carpenter, he served WWII with the Field Works Wing at home from 15.7.1943 and was sent to North West Europe where he disembarked on12.7.1944 taking part in operations in France & Germany. He was posted to India in 1945.

According to the 1939 Register he was a Carpenter living at Sunny Bank, Penymaes, Hay - the same address his medals were posted. He died in Hereford in 1968
