James Ernest Body was born in Bath, Somerset. According to the 1921 England census he was, at the age of 18, already a serving member of the Somerset Light Infantry and was living at 8 Broadway Place, Bath - this is the next door property to where his WWII medals were dispatched on 6 December 1948. He joined the Postal Service in 1946 and died in Bath on 4 March 1953. Awarded LSGCM in 1940
