109609 Major Richard Leslie Blackborow (aka Blackborrow) R.E. Born on 17.6.1908 at Alverstoke, Hants. Enlisted with Royal Engineers on 7.5.1923 as a Boy Bugler. Was Commissioned 2/Lt in London Gazette 29.12.1939.
Served in France & Germany in WWII and in Malaya post-war. Was awarded the 1953 QEII Coronation Medal as a Quartermaster with the R.E. His LSGCM was Gazetted 30.1.1948
Died Worthing, West Sussex in April 1990.
