1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Burma Star; France & Germany Star; War Medal 1939-45 - all unnamed as awarded in original box of issue with award slip addressed to Mr J. Grubb, Blawlowan, 30 Hill Street, Dysart, Fife.

John Grubb was born in Dysart, Fife in 1914. At the age of 15 he went into business with his brother forming Murray Grubb & Sons, aerated water business. With the outbreak of WWII he enlisted serving in Africa, Burma and North West Europe. 

He returned to the business but left it in 1951 opening the Rio Sales and Services Garage in Kikcaldy. He was a successful car dealer who died on 14 July 1976.

His obituary, which appeared in the Fife Free Press of 16 July 1976 confirms that his address was 30 Hill Street, Dysart - the exact same address as that on the box containing his medals dispatched to him.
