Box of issue with award slip to Mr W. Lunn, Three Horse Shoes Hotel, Brompton, Northallerton. William Lunn served with 4th Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers. This Battalion became the 50th Regiment, Reconnaisaince Corps on 30.4.1941. He was taken Prisoner of War in the Middle East on 6.6.1942. Held in Italy at Campo 70 Monturano (Parma) and Stalag 4C Wistritz bei Teplitz, Czechoslovakia and Stalag IVB Muhlberg in Germany. He was released 30.7.1945. 

According to the 1939 Register he was a Lorry Driver (Heavy Worker) living at the Three Horse Shoes Hotel in Brompton, Northallerton, Yorkshire. (The same address his medals were sent to). Passed away 1.4.1992 in Northallerton - born and died on the same day.
