2876174 WO II RQMS William George Cheyne served with the 1st Bn Royal Irish Fusiliers and had previous service with the Gordon Highlanders. He was born in Turriff, Aberdeenshire on 1.4.1914 and served in Palestine.
He died suddenly, according to a press cutting, at home, Whitestones Farm, Kemnay, Edinburgh on 3.2.1946
