India General Service Medal clasps WAZIRISTAN 1919-21, WAZIRISTAN 1921-24; NORTH WEST FRONTIER 1930-31 (2871 SEPOY MOHD. HASSAN. S. WAZ. SCOUTS.)
Based at Jandola, the South Waziristan Scouts (formerly the South Waziristan Militia) consisted of two infantry battalions and a small force of mounted infantry. Their primary responsibility was to occupy dominant features along British communication lines, especially those points which if occupied by hostile tribes would hinder the regular Army's movement in the Waziristan Agency.
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise.
