Queens South Africa Medal clasps Cape Colony; South Africa 1902 (PTE. E. HASELAN. C.C.FORCES)
Emil Franz Otto Haselau (incorrectly Haselan on the medal roll) was born in Neustadt, Germany in 1878. Having moved to South Africa with his family they settled in the Willovale district of the Eastern Cape.
He saw service with the little-known Green River D.M.T. before joining the Commander-in-Chief's Bodyguard. After his term with them had expired, he joined the Cape Colonial Forces (G Squadron).
He died in 1955
