1914-15 Star (173624 G.W. COX. CH. STO., R.N.)
George William Cox was born in Portsmouth in 1871. He joined the Royal Navy on 2 May 1893 and was awarded his LSGCM in 1912. He served in WWI aboard HMS Neptune and was transferred to the Royal Fleet Reserve in 1915.
Post-war he worked for HM Dockyard in Portsmouth as a Timekeeper and died in that town in 1929
Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research. Please note that he was also awarded the British War Medal, Victory Medal and Long Service & Good Conduct Medal which are not included.
