F. W. BULL, PUNJ. RIF. A.F.I.)

Frederick William Bull was born in India and educated there at the European School where he excelled. He married Norah Hill in 1906 whilst an Assistant in the Punjab Secretarial office. They were both living in Simla at the time.

He served as a Volunteer with the Punjab Rifles and was awarded an Inter-War ‘Civil Division’ MBE 1936 and Kaisar-i-Hind medal. His M.B.E. London Gazette 1 January 1936: ‘Frederick William Bull, Esq., Secretary, District Board, Montgomery, Punjab.’

According to a 1948 ships manifest, a 71 year old Bull, residing in Pakistan, and his 63 year old wife travelled to England in 1948. Whether to live or for a visit is unknown.

The medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with limited research.
