William George Endean was born in Portsmouth, Devon in 1911 Like his father before him he joined the Royal Navy as a Boy in 1927 and saw comprehensive and widespread service in WWII as a Supply Officer aboard the two Aircraft Carriers Indomitable & Argus. He was commissioned in 1945 and was in the Stores section. 

He was awarded the MBE in the LG of 31.12.1960and retired the following year - in 1961. He passed away in Winchester, Hampshire in June 1968
