Military Medal GV (11411 L/CPL. T.G. COLLEDGE. 7/YORK:R.)
Thomas George Colledge or College, was born in West Boldon, Durham in 1897. He enlisted with the 7/York R and was sent to France on 13.7.1915. He was attached to the 50th TM Battery and, towards the end of the war, was transferred to the 10th West Yorkshire Regiment. He was awarded the Military Medal in the LG 16.7.1918. He lived in Murton, Durham for most of his life.
According to the 1921 census he was a Coal Miner working in Brandon whilst living with his wife and son at 45 Queen Street, Brandon Colliery.
According to the 1939 Register he was living at 107 Calvert Terrace, Easington and was a Coal Miner (Underground). He was a widower living on his own. He passed away in Durham in 1974.
Colledge is entitled to a 1914-15 trio the whereabout of which is unknown.
