Albert Edward Davey was born in Kensington, London in 1901. He enlisted with the RAF as an Air Mechanic late in WWI but wasn't awarded any medals. He was commissioned in 1938 and served throughout WWII Served WWII in India, where he was MID in 1941 - this award appeared in the 24 September 1941 issue of the LG and was iro - "His Majesty has been graciously pleased to give orders for the publication of the names of the following who have been mentioned in despatches by Air Officers Commanding-inChief: A.E. Davey."
Returning to England he was stationed at the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell which is where he was awarded the 1953 Coronation Medal. Further honours came his way when he was made an OBE in Queen Elizabeth's birthday Honours, June 1955.
The medals are in good condition unless otherwise stipulated. Sold with a quantity of copied research including photographs wherein the recipient appears and copied certificates of his awards.
