A well-loved Sheffield Doctor, Trevor May made headlines when he came to the rescue of a fellow passenger in mid-air on a return flight from the Caribbean in October 1992. The passenger, Gordon Fox of Wakefield, suffered a heart attack and May came to the rescue after the pilot had announced that a Doctor was needed. His Serving Brother award appeared in the LG 11 December 1975.

MAY H. 1945) with 4 service anniversary clasps - together with annual award links dating from 1942-1962 (in two parts) This was Dr Trevor May's Uncle, Harold May. His award appeared in the LG 2 July 1965.
