Born in Bedford on 11.6.1894 Captain Robert Henry Glenister was with the 96th Brigade RFA in France. He was Wounded in Action in 1917 (Gun Shot Wound to left hand) and was awarded Belgium Croix De Guerre (London Gazette 4.9.1919.)
According to the 1939 Register he was living at Sear Farm, Harlington Road, Upper Sundon in Luton and was an ARP Warder and Electrical Draughtsman by occupation. He earned the Defence Medal for his WW2 efforts.
He passed away at that address on 7.1.1955.
