William Thomas Arthur Jordan CBE, RN was born in Portsmouth on 20.1.1890. He was selected for officers course in 1913 and served in WWI. A career Engineer Officer, he was awarded the OBE and was MID on 11.7.1940 whilst aboard HMS Ramillies. He was awarded the CBE LG 10.6.1948 and died on 20.3.1976.
The medals are accompanied by a file of original letters of congratulation on his promotion to Engineer Captain in 1940.
