Efficiency Medal GVIR bar Territorial (3387165 CFN. A. PIM. R.E.M.E.) - in original box of issue along with envelope addressed to Mr A Pim, 47 Burnley Rd, Holme, Burnley, Lancs. with Soldiers Release Book, Soldiers Service & Pay Book and a quantity of original paperwork including a post card to him from his sister Isabel.
According to the 1939 Register Pim was living at 47 Burnley Road which tallies with the address his medal was posted to. He was listed as a Private with the East Lancashire Regiment.
His Soldier's Release Book confirms that he served with 309 L & C Workshops R.E.M.E. His Military Conduct was described as Exemplary. "Cfn Prins has served with this unit for the past 8 months. During this time he has proved himself to be an extremely conscientious hard worker who does not slack off. He has maintained interest in his work, has technical knowledge above the average. The majority of his work has been the repair of motor vehicles of all types and makes. This man has an exemplary character, thoroughly honest and sober."
He passed away in Burnley on 13 November 2011.
