George Worsley was born in Pendleton, Lancashire in 1908. According to the 1939 Register Worsley was a Professional Fireman (Fire Brigade) living at 24 Chip Hill Road, Bolton. He later rose to the rank of Station Officer with the Bolton Fire Brigade and was awarded the FB Long Service Medal and National Fire Brigades Association medal with Ten Year service clasp. He passed away in Bolton in November 1996.
