Authorised for award to survivors in 1848, this medal has 29 different clasps awarded with it and, unlike its Naval counterpart, is quite common with multiple clasps.
It could not be awarded without a clasp.
This exmaple is die-struck in the manner of the original and is superb in every detail including a swivelling suspension in the style of the original.
The clasps were constructed on carriages holding one, two or three clasps and ours is produced the same way to order. Please allow two weeks for assembly of this medal with clasps.
