Although the clasp is spelt Roleia, the correct name for the village is Rolica which is seen on Regimenal Colours

This was the first victory won in the Peninsula which took place on 17th August 1808, the British Army commanded by the then General Sir Arthur Wellesley, the French under Marshall Laborde.
