Awarded to the Military General Service Medal 1799-1801.
This cavalry action took place on 20th December 1808. The 15th Hussars and 12 soldiers from 7th Hussars took on a French force which outnumbered them two to one. Nevertheless they charged and completely overthrew the French taking almost 150 prisoners including 15 officers, 2 of whom were Lieutenant Colonels.
